TLDR
The questions we answer on the phone every day, written down. Start with estimates and pricing if you are comparing shops, or insurance if you have an open claim.
Common questions cover estimate pricing, insurance claim handling, repair timelines, what vehicles we service, and what falls outside our scope. Collision estimates are at no charge and we bill every major carrier direct.
Estimates and Pricing
- Do you charge for an estimate: Collision estimates are provided at no charge and insurance walk ins are always welcome. RV systems estimates covering slides, awnings, water, electrical, and generators are $150, refunded as a credit against an authorized repair.
- What are your labor rates: Body and paint $210 per hour, mechanical and electrical $260 per hour, diagnostics $285 per hour with a one hour minimum refunded against an authorized repair, and detail $95 per hour.
- Do you require a deposit: 50 percent at authorization on jobs over $2,000, and a further 25 percent when parts arrive on jobs over $10,000. Final balance is due at pickup.
- Do you price match: No. Our rates are posted and the work we do at those rates is a defined standard. Where another quote is materially lower, the useful question is what is not included in it.
Insurance Claims
- Do you work with insurance companies: Yes, direct billing with Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury and every other major carrier, with direct repair relationships on several.
- Can my carrier require me to use their shop: No. California law gives you the right to choose your repair facility. A carrier can recommend, it cannot require.
- What if the estimate is too low: We measure, disassemble, and document what the vehicle actually needs, then submit it as a supplement. That converts an argument into evidence.
- Who pays you: The carrier, direct. You handle your deductible and any work you authorize outside the claim.
Timelines
- How long does a repair take: Systems work is usually days. Minor collision is one to three weeks. Major structural runs four to twelve weeks. Full refinish or remodel runs one to four months.
- What causes delays: Supplement approval and parts availability, almost always. Shop labor is rarely the bottleneck.
- Will I get updates: Weekly at minimum, and immediately whenever something changes the schedule.
Vehicles and Scope
- What do you work on: RVs and motorhomes in every class, campers, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, Sprinter and camper vans, cargo and high cube vans, box trucks, semis, buses, municipal fleet, Rivian and electric delivery vans, and mobile business vehicles.
- Is there a size limit: No practical limit. The booth is sized for full length Class A motorhomes.
- Do you do engine work: No. House systems, electrical, generator, plumbing, and appliances, plus collision, paint, structural, and body work.
- Do you offer mobile service: No. All work is performed in shop at the Yorba Linda facility.
- Do you work on modified vehicles: Yes, including conversions, overland builds, and aftermarket solar and lithium systems, and we document that work for your carrier.
Location and Logistics
- How far from Newport Beach: About 25 miles, roughly thirty minutes outside peak traffic, straight up the 55 to the 91.
- Do I need an appointment: For collision, walk ins are welcome. For systems work call (949) 799-3387 first so we can schedule diagnostic time with the right technician.
- Can I leave the vehicle: Yes, and for anything beyond a same day job you will need to. We have secure yard space.
- What are your hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, closed Sunday.
